Stratford-Upon-Avon
This weekend I escaped Coventry for a trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon, a town just outside of Coventry. I went with my older sister Sarah and her boyfriend Josh, who very kindly drove us making it a very quick journey. Whilst there we explored the town a bit admiring all of the greenery and lakes, saw the sites where Shakespeare had lived, had lunch out at the Giggling Squid, before starting our Christmas shopping, and ending the day with ice cream. This is the first ever year I have done my Christmas shopping so early, maybe this is the sign that university has made me a more organised person, and after getting quite a few peoples’ gifts I am already starting to get excited about going home for the holidays.
The whole day was a lot of fun and it was quite nice to leave Coventry as I am finding that I do miss the lush green areas of back home. Startford-Upon-Avon reminds me quite a bit of my home town of Tunbridge Wells, and it was a lovely trip. However, I I’ve realised that my original dislike of moving to a city for university was no longer there, now I actually quite enjoy living in Coventry. There is a huge contrast between Coventry and Tunbridge Wells, but it is a good contrast and I feel that living in Coventry has built my confidence to live in a bigger city in the future.
Sorry it is such a short post this time, I am currently in the midst of a lot of coursework deadlines, which are taking up a lot of time. So stay tuned and I will try and do a proper update soon!
