Practical Examples of Work
Audio and Video Work created whilst at UCB
Christmas Traditions Around The World:
For the two evening Drive shows, which air on UCB1 and UCB2 from 4pm to 7pm every week night. I organised, recorded and edited audio from all around the world. Talking to people about what their Christmas Traditions are in their home country. These were played out every night on both station every week night from the start of December up until Christmas.
Presenter Training - Worship and the Word Full Show:
Need to upload audio.
What's In Simon's Sack:
Co-hosting on 'The Daily Update' show, with the the UCB2 Drive Time show with Simon Tuck. I was part of his two week feature memory game.
Saturday's with Simon Tuck:
Co-hosting on Saturday's with Simon Tuck, with the the UCB2 Lunch Time show. I was part of his month long feature food feature. Simon had the idea of doing another memory game based around remembering items of a food shopping list. From this I developed the idea further by finding food which are mentioned in the Bible, setting it up to seem more natural, and ending it on once Simon knows the missing item to suggest the listeners a recipe to make with that missing item.
Academy Advert
Here at UCB they refer to their placement year scheme as the UCB Academy. It is a year out aimed at recent graduates or equivalent who have a minimum of a year work experience in a similar field. As I am currently taking part in the Academy they asked me to record a radio advert to help promote it for next years start. The advert plays out on both stations, UCB1 and UCB2 on a regular basis, it feels weird to hear my voice playing out in the office however, people have given me really positive feedback about the voice I use when presenting on air which has really helped to boost my confidence.
