Hello and welcome to my personal, professional blog that will be show casing all of my work throughout my university degree. I’m Alice Wass and I’m studying Media and Communications BA (Hons) at Coventry University.

 

During my degree I took a year out to do a  year long work placement work placement. For this I went to UCB, a national Christian radio station in the UK where I worked as a Broadcast Assistant. Now, I am back at Coventry University completing the final year on my degree.  Media has been a passion of mine since I started studying it at GCSE level and my passion has grown during my degree. Since undertaking my placement year I have decided I want to work in Broadcasting, specifically to be a Producer in either Radio or TV.

This blog will be reflective and hopefully allow me to develop as a media professional for the future; also some of the work on the site will be assessed as part of my degree.

​

In the 'Blog' section I will be writing about what I get up to in my free time, from travelling to media events I have attended, as well as other work I have produced outside of my degree. 

​

I am also a part of Coventry Universities Global Leadership Programme (GLP) which will greatly improve my personal and professional development over my degree. Therefore I will also be writing and reflecting about all the experiences I have through the programme. On top of this, during my placement  I also completed the Level 2 Certificate in Leadership and Teamwork from the Institute of Leadership and Management, where the information from this can be found under 'Placement', then 'ILM'.
