Week 30
Company Celebrations
This week has been a productive week, getting everything ready to go away for my Easter Holiday. I have continued researching, organising and booking in interviews for June, which is now nearly completely full. I have also been contacting the next 3 weeks’ worth of guests to make sure that I have all the information which Ruth could need for all of their interviews. Normally, I would contact guests the week before the interview as a reminder and to follow up on any information still missing, so having to do it so far in advance is a slight concern. Ruth and I have been having a lot of meetings so that she feels confident in all the planned content for the show whilst I am away. It is nice to feel that I am so integral to the show, but the downside is that I have to have backups in place in case anything does not go to plan and I am not in the office to fix it.
I have also been preparing all the audio for the short teaching series which Ruth will be playing out next week, it is all uploaded onto Zetta and I have been writing different ways that Ruth could introduce it on air. I am very excited for this to succeed as it is something I have organised and sorted which has not been done on Ruth’s show before. On top of all this preparation I have continued hosting all ‘in studio’ guests for Ruth, and helping with anything else she needs whilst her show is live on air.
I have continued with Soundcloud editing and uploading this week, I am in a good flow with sorting out Ruth’s and Simon’s content but it is progressing slowly from the other Presenters. I do not want it to be too skewed with certain Presenters content but this is dependent on the content provided. However, now that I have organised Soundcloud it looks so much better and I hope over time we get into more of a flow of having photos with guests to use.
I have been helping Anne with her Sunday feature ‘The Wall’, by contacting, recording and editing people sharing their answered prayers for her as she has been very busy recently. This is something I really enjoy doing and it does not take too long so I am happy to help.
Other not so normal things I have done this week, included taking part in a TV shoot, which was a fake coffee morning for a UCB advert Fundraising was making. Also, we had a work lunch celebration, for Word For Today having it’s 25 Anniversary. This was a nice way to celebrate the work UCB has been doing and to see how far the company has come since then.
Next week is my last week working before my holiday and I feel it will be a very busy week!
