Current Job Market

Networking

The main factor you need to do is creating a network as much as you can and puts or research a variety of information to get into broadcasting. When you build up your networks you can get diverse opportunities in broadcasting area. One of the best ways to build up networks within Film is finding out placement adverts or many events and then participate in the events which is related to Film field, you can encounter people who are working, and then you can experience the jobs you’d like to get in film field indirectly, when you talk about your dreaming job with them. - Surim

The best way of doing all of that is how to create networking. In addition to that, People are more relaxed in social settings such as Whatsapp and also Facebook. It is one of the best way or chances to strike or bring up a conversation with someone who works there and can introduce me to the people he or she works with which will lead me not to be uncomfortable during the work placement whatsoever. The best way of dealing with it is that I start with a goal or aim that has more content and greater meaning, rather than having a selfish one. Moreover, I also started making new connections which is very fun and enjoyable for the other people. - Delta

Best Networking places are LinkedIn, Eventbrite- where you can find a lot of events where you can make some connections. Also, tutors suggestions help us to find some connections from UNI or other sites. - Kotryna

Personal Response

I’ve longed to become a programme researcher since I was younger the reason is why I decided to choose broadcasting as my specific area. The work involves organising, planning and researching everything. The researcher usually has a responsibility for fact checking, writing briefs for presenters, and ensuring that the production adheres to appropriate legislation.

My personal favourite area would be Film, because I have a passion for it, and films are second-to-none in any form of entertainment. It would follow then that no matter where you are, what you’re doing, and how you’re doing it. The area need to be creative it would require you a small set, the amount of planning, setting-up, and fore-sight.

I’m trying to have a good fit for this industry. I’m learning specialist knowledge may be necessary for some positions. I’m resourceful and motivated to have my abilities or skills, and I have tried to keep being enthusiastic attitude and being creative and confident to show my own ideas all the time, whenever I talk with people and am under pressure or not.

I chose broadcasting because, I want to work in the radio at BBC broadcasting which I think is a very great experience.

My personal area and favorite is London because it is so busy and mostly wide. People are also focused and they have good creativity, it is where I made all those new connections such as my uncle and also his manager. Whenever I go there they keep me motivated as far as trying to take me to BBC when it was my first time and visiting the whole place, which was a very good feeling for me to be present.

What is unique about me is that I am a very outgoing and happy person to everyone and also compassionate. And I really love to be decent and presentable to everyone, it has made me a good fit of the industry because my uncle’s manager told me that I should come after my studies for internship which is very rare for someone to be told such information, normally they are the ones who ask for it but as I said, it looked very surprising and to me it is  a very great opportunity which I would not want to miss out.

I choose Broadcasting area because I like making new connections, travel and it also exciting. Why I said travel because you need to prepare do some filming in special areas not only in one place. Places always changing.

My best personal area in Broadcasting are behind the camera because I like take a shoots. I like create something by myself. Filming for me is really interesting because that process is exciting and intriguing. For example when you need film people which are in the car or airplane, you need to go with them but you need to stay behind the camera. My dream is create movie so I hope that I can make it someday with people like me.

I have good communication skills, I can work with Adobe Premiere Pro and I am obsessed of filming. Also in my free time I trying to do all my best in this area so I download some videos and trying to edit it.
